Continuing with their series of interesting collaborations, MePa store Earnest Sewn will soon be playing host to something called A New Hive. "A New Hive will hold court at Earnest Sewn in July to bring to light the current mysterious and alarming disappearance of honeybee colonies. Curator Derrick R. Cruz said in a statement, 'The rich folklore and natural history of honeybees inspires an ethereal childlike curiosity in individuals?Curiosity leads to contemplation, internalization, and then to genuine concern. I hope A NEW HIVE will help us regain respect for these amazing creatures; after all, almost everything we eat is made possible by bees.'” The exhibit will run July 9th through the 31st.
