Reading the Uniqlo Paper: Chloë Sevigny's Trash

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Among the things we're anticipating from Uniqlo this month is the American release of the ever-informative Uniqlo Paper No.4. This volume, with a "Simple Things" focus, features all this season's ads from the UT T-shirt Project and predictable shoots themed "Street Style" and "Young Americans." But don't let those keep you from the copious amounts of Chloe Sevigny; her lengthy interview with the magazine includes such hard-hitting questions as "you must have gigantic closets?" to which she admits throwing away clothing.

The Uniqlo Paper No. 4 won't hit US stores until around May 12, but if you can't wait, a Sevigny fansite has the scans for your lunchtime reading.
