LOWER EAST SIDE—Long-plywooded grocer E&S Wholesome Foods has finally opened on the LES. A tipster writes: "Northeast corner of Stanton and Essex. Just a typical, slightly downscale whole foods market. Excitement level on a scale of 1 to 10: 3." [RackedWire]
SOHO—H&M's new billboard on Houston Street has been fully revealed, and just as suspected, it's an image of model Daria Werbowy. Instead of wearing a bikini, though, she's pretty covered up in an artfully draped scarf, a white tank and shorts. It can't be easy translating a photo to a gigantic painted wall mural, but boy, does she look a lot better in the retailer's catalog. [Racked Flickr Pool]
