Cintra Wilson is up to bat for the Times this week, choosing to devote her Critical Shopper column to Catherine Malandrino's Meatpacking District boutique. She takes issue with a staffer—"I was not in love with the sales assistant, a young woman whose talents ranged from invisibility to impatience"—but seems to like the clothing. Of course, the article is not without a hammer drop: shirts and pumps are described as "perfect fiesta-wear for the salsa-dancing Catholic cougar." Ouch. [NY Times]
