The South Brooklyn shopping scene is about to get a big boost: Steven Alan, a go-to store for classic men's and women's basics from a well-edited group of designers (including Common Projects, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Earnest Sewn, Bing Bang and the none-too-shabby house label), will be opening somewhere on Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill.
Per a well-placed source: "Steven Alan signed a lease last week for their first Brooklyn store. Not sure when it will open, but it is going to be on Atlantic near Bond Street." This would be the fifth New York City store for Alan, who has locations in Nolita, the West Village, the UWS and Tribeca. Very exciting news for Brooklynites; we'll report more information as we get it...
