A light dusting of snow fell today on the fantasyland of Bleecker Street, and we doubt it did anything to help business. What could have brought about the sudden flurries and merry wonderment in the eyes of tourists? It is nothing less than Catherine Zeta Jones playing a cougar out for a hot, young neighbor guy in a film being shot on Bleecker between Perry and Charles Streets. All of the stores on the west side of the street are in on it: Robert Marc has frosty windows, Juicy Couture got their topiaries dusted, and Coach sports a full-on wreath. According to IMDB, the film is called The Rebound and features other characters like a sensei, trapeze student, and the classic "talkative bellman." From the looks of Bleecker last evening, they should continue filming today before wrapping up for Memorial Day.
