Bloomingdale's has reached an agreement with their labor force, ending the threat of a strike, which had been looming earlier in the week: "Members of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union on Thursday overwhelmingly approved a new four-year contract, which covers about 2,000 employees at the 59th Street flagship...The new contract provides for a wage increase of $2.15 to $2.45 an hour in each of the four years it covers..."
