Shoemaker Matt Bernson has himself a sale in progress in Tribeca (on the loading dock at 434 Greenwich St, at Laight). It goes through 8 PM tomorrow, so the let's get to the crux of the matter, Is is worth your time? To the field (with photo dispatch above):

The Matt Bernson sample sale is a little sliver of an outdoor affair with stacks of orderly shoeboxes lining the wall and a folding table piled high with rubber-banded leather flats. Prices were, as advertised, under $50, and the small crowd was roaming around barefoot and casually trying them on out on the sidewalk. There's still plenty of sizes available and a small mountain of shoes up for grabs.
