Despite the looming strike for thousands of staff at the Bloomingdale's on 59th and Lexington, the store's events page tells a different story for tomorrow; mini parties, the ever-present trunk sales and even a DJ seem to be scheduled as normal. Those in the mood to whip out credit cards and brave the picket line may find themselves drinking champagne alone at the Anne Klein 40 Years of Fashion Celebration, or jiving solo to the DJ at the Converse by John Varvatos Custom T-Shirt event. In any case, the New Jersey sales associates who will undoubtedly be staffing the store during the strike will need a drink themselves after whatever goes down tomorrow.
