How much do we love the Metropolitan Pavilion? Lots! Especially when FOUR big Sample Sales happen in and around it simultaneously: at 123, 135 and 145 West 18th Street. Let's break it down, shall we?
1) 123 W 18th St/Metropolitan Pavilion: On the first floor is the thrice-yearly Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show, with over 80 vintage dealers for everything from clothing to textiles. The doors opened at 1pm today ($20 admission) to a nice line, and the show continues through tomorrow evening at 6pm. On the 4th floor is the Warehouse Premium Denim Sale, also ending tomorrow evening but with a buy-5-get-the-6th-free special.
2) 135 W 18th St/Altman Building: The Billion Dollar Babes Sale admits only members of their crazy tiered VIP system today, but tomorrow all are welcome to rush the gates from 9am to 5pm. As the towncars pulled up, we took a peek into the sale and saw plenty selection of Hobo Bags and wallets, lingerie and long glamor gowns.
3) 145 W 18th St/Savvy NYC: The Sample Angel Spring Sale is hawking 70% off Diane von Furstenberg as well as "other illustrious, exciting designers" through Sunday at 6pm. Proceeds go to benefit Love Heals, a charity dedicated to educating youth about AIDS and HIV.
