Pop Clinton wallets from Kate Spade

There's something that's just so wrong about prim purse maven Kate Spade using Clinton Street on the LES to add cred to a handbag collection. The description of Pop Clinton, from the brand's website:

Pop Clinton gives a vibrant punch to Kate Spade's popular Clinton Street handbags. Named after a street on Manhattan's Lower East Side, where cozy boutiques and eateries sit alongside colorful Mexican bodegas, Clinton Street has become a symbol of New York's vital mix of ethnic and creative influences.
What's next, the Delancey Street driving moc? The Attorney Street ostrich-skin agenda? Ridiculous. It would be genius if they named a tote after Canal Street, though.
