A few months ago, furniture and housewares shop Apartment 48 announced that they were leaving 48 West 17th Street for the greener, less underground pastures of 59 Greenwich Avenue. Today, though, we learn that they've actually gone and moved down the block to 12 West 17th Street, at 5th Avenue. The new location, which is double the size of the old storefront, has been open for about a week. All the additional room has allowed owner Rayman Boozer to expand upon the shop's offerings—that means more candles, linens, tabletop items and jewelry. The shop's also stocking more John Derian pieces and works by New York City photographer Josh Levine.
