Equal parts licensing deal and tribute, H&M's 2008 summer collection featuring Finnish designer Marimekko hits H&M locations today, bright and semi-early at 10 AM. At present the scene is rather quiet up on 5th Avenue and 51st Street (right), and the windows definitely don't have the line on display yet. But, this should be exciting: vivid, retro colors, a gentle price point, and the promise of a collection joyfully fresh like a vitamin injection really should do the trick, non? Get thee to an H&M, see what you think. More to come from the scene. [RackedWire]
