On Friday, team Racked and team Curbed had the privilege of touring the Red Hook Ikea site. Here, reports and photos from the scene.
One of the notable things about Ikea's Red Hook store are the views. Unlike most of their stores, which are pretty much windowless, the powers that be have decided to glass up the building a bit, letting shoppers revel in views of the water, the Statue of Liberty and downtown Manhattan. Red Hook's never quite been seen like this before, that's for sure.
