Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Skin and haircare company Kiehl's has just launched an online community. Kiehl’s Open Road is, in the words of the press release that just landed in the Racked Inbox, "an interactive community contest with the objective of identifying the single player who can plot the most wide-reaching and adventurous course across a virtual America." Random, right? There is a great incentive to join, though—you can win a year's supply of Kiehl's products. "The more friends and family with whom players connect, the more points they will accumulate. Whoever tallies the most points will be declared the top play—with the greatest reward: the ultimate prize of one full year’s supply of Kiehl’s products." [Racked Inbox]
