Perhaps the Vera Wang Soho store at 158 Mercer will open this spring, as they've at least been inside to change the windows. The old, snowy scenes of only a month ago have been replaced by starker images of clothes from the spring line, with the model on the right rocking a classic pose straight from a Japanese Fruits magazine.
The space is silent with the paper still tight on the windows, but this is a sign of hope for those who would rather head downtown for clothes to match their mattress. No Bon Jovi sighting this time, although a homeless man was totally in the midst of a deep sleep on his steps.
