The last few days have been a quite a whirlwind, haven't they? Let's look back at some of the more notable shows.

Target designer and New York social darling Erin Fetherston showed a collection on Friday that was part Stevie Nicks, part Blair Waldorf. There were white dresses and long ethereal floral ones followed by dark plaid prints and flirtier sequined empire waist dresses. While the looks were disparate, each piece was strong on its own. Ballet flats and opaque tights will continue into fall. So, too, will Fetherston's signature headpieces. Racked likes them, but not everyone can carry off ornate headwear. If you're not sure you can, don't try.

We admire his gutsy originality, but Alexander Wang's fall clothing is simply not wearable. The cuts are creative but impossible to pull off unless your BMI is 2% like his runway models. Model Erin Wasson served as Wang's collaborative stylist, and together they created a dark and gritty collection replete with torn stockings, baggy trousers, and black socks with everything. The after party at the Annex was full of cool kids, but we just can't celebrate this threadbare collection.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Max Azria carried the Hervé Léger torch and continued with his classic bandage dresses at the label's show on Sunday. He tinkered with beading, fabrics, and design embellishments, but the structural bandage concept was the essence of the show. These dresses were so insanely tight it appeared that the models were either sewn into them or were all wearing some heavy-duty Spanx underneath!

Whoever said black and navy blue don't mix hasn't seen Rag & Bone work the duo. Their Friday collection interwove the colors to create a fierce, layered look for both men and women. Break out that thighmaster video because thigh highs are in for the ladies. So, too, are gold ornamentations, such as buttons, necklaces, and tie clips for men. Despite not being fans of the men's banded pant legs, the clothes overall were very cool.

Rachel Roy's Fall collection debuted Friday night with striking accomplishment. She and her team have mastered the art of creating high class designs with bold presence. Rich reds, purples, and creams were accented with feathers and lace, and she took things to the next level with gloves and spectacularly huge necklaces. We only wish we had somewhere to go dressed this fabulous!

The Duckie Brown men's collection was a slick showcase of gunmetal and gray ensembles. We dig the tailored pants and overcoats but can't really get behind men's lace sweaters and sequined tops.
