The space-age looking exterior of Yohji Yamamoto's store at One Gansevoort Street
After presenting a Fall collection big on plaid at his Y-3 show this past weekend, Yohji Yamamoto prepares for another big hoopla today: the grand opening of his two Meatpacking stores. There was a frenzy of activity early this morning in the Meatpacking District, as workers at both his Y-3 collaborative store with Adidas and his eponymous flagship across the street were tweaking lighting and overseeing final details for opening parties that appear to be in the works.
Inside Yohji Yamamoto
Clothing is in place in both of the bright and architectural stores; it's just kinda hard to see because everything's covered in plastic wrap for the upcoming celebratory shindigs.
