Flying in under the radar in East Village is the Bowery Wine Company, what appears to be a hybrid wine bar and retail wine store. Located within the sprawling Avalon Bowery Place on East 1st Street (between Bowery and Second Ave.), it's sporting some relatively sizable square footage, and a bunch of tables along with the wine bar itself. As neighborhood blog East Village Podcasts noted last week, it appears they'll be adding café seating in the courtyard there come springtime.
