Week In Review: Moss Unloved at Barneys, Apple Time on the UWS and More

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Before the weekend begins, check out a quick rundown of the top six Racked stories of the past five days.

1) Chelsea: Two weeks after the Barneys Warehouse Sale began, shoppers still weren't touching the Kate Moss for Topshop racks.

2) Upper West Side: The UWS's loss of the Victoria's Secret at 67th and Broadway means it's almost Apple Store time.

3) Upper East Side: Sweets destination Dylan's Candy Bar got signage. And then, their third floor was revealed! Insanity.

4) Chinatown: The always-bustling Counterfeit Triangle was raided by police. The scene the day after the po showed up was eerily quiet.

5) National: Starbucks decided to close up shop early for barista training. Next day, the staffers at the Broadway store in Soho were kicking out homeless squatters like nobody's business.

6) Soho: The Kidrobot Pirate Store, their outlet space of sorts, opened. There were Gorillaz and hoodies, but no Munnys or Dunnys.
