Brooklyn Urbans Debuting in Less Than Two Weeks

In the four months since news of the Urban Outfitters slated for 164 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn broke, construction on the outpost has really raced along. Today, the door to the storefront, located in the beautiful Sail Makers building, was open, so we took a look inside. From that brief glance, we can assure you that rumors that the place would be shoppable in less than two weeks are definitely true. Cobble Hill's wait for ironic t-shirts and skinny jeans is almost over! The store will be pretty sizeable, with 4,600 sf at grade and another 5,300 on a lower level. Workers are busy carting construction refuse out of the space, and although the fixtures aren't up yet and some of the drywall still needs to be painted, it's shaping up well. If only we could report the same for the still-silent Trader Joe's site down the street.
