First Look: Inside Muji's Midtown Flagship

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If there is one thing that'll make us traverse the tourist-clogged arteries of the area around the Port Authority, it is the knowledge that we're headed for the peace and serenity of Muji. Of course, the Japanese chain, known for simple and minimalistic clothing, luggage, housewares and stationary items, won't be unveiling its heavily-anticipated flagship store at the new New York Times building for a few more months, but that doesn't mean that roving Racked photog Will Femia can't poke around a bit. His findings are above in a handy-dandy gallery. Do enjoy.
