Will the Upper West Side soon be seen as a destination for beauty? Perhaps, if you're talking about beauty products. You many recall that a few months ago, we noted that high-end apothecary chain Bluemercury would be opening a 1,700-square-foot NYC store at 2305 Broadway between 83rd and 84th Streets—a location that's quite close to Sephora, Ricky's and Space.NK. Today, WWD announced that Bluemercury execs are planning a full reveal for February 25th. According to WWD, Bluemercury founder Marla Malcolm Beck looks for 'the stroller factor and the hang-out factor,' when sussing out locations for new stores. Surprisingly, the Upper West Side fit the bill!
