Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
You know which sector of the job market hasn't dried up, people? That's right: The intern sector. Are you an eager, perhaps college-age, person who happens to read, and perhaps even enjoy, Racked on a daily basis? If so, this opportunity may be for you. We're looking for interns with journalism in their blood to join our merry band in 2009. Internship responsibilities may include but not be limited to (a) attending long, boring meetings from which you'll file entertaining and witty reports; (b) dashing from Racked HQ to the scene of breaking news; and (c) undertaking onerous, potentially soul-crushing, research projects. The pay shall be zero dollars and some drink (proper ID req'd); the glory, extreme; the possibility for this to grow into a paid job, plausible. Timing's very flexible. Interested persons should send an email to interns@curbed.com with a brief description of yourself and your interest in the gig. No attachments, please. If we like what we see, we'll get back to you quickly. Thanks.
