In the Window: Uncle Sam's Army Surplus Envisions an Obama Xmas

The Obama windows continue as Uncle Sam's Army Navy Surplus on West 8th Street dedicates their display to an imagined holiday for the First Family. A greened White House forms the backdrop for a chimney hung with four stockings and the word "peace," while Malia and Sacha's new (stuffed) puppy pops out of a gift bag.

The President and First Lady-elect are of course dressed in their Christmas best, which for Army Surplus means a drab safari dress and stewardess neck kerchief on Michelle and navy sweater and heavy peacoat on Barack. While this scene is the last thing we expected in a military goods store, it is nonetheless creative and festive.
