One location in Times Square just wasn't enough for makeup giant Sephora. According to today's Post, the chain will open a new flagship next August at 5 Times Square and 42nd Street, exactly 177 feet (or so says Google Maps) from the current Sephora store at 43rd and Broadway. The Post doesn't report any plans to close the original Sephora, but it does include lots of juicy details about the new place, which contains 13,000 square feet of space distributed across three stories. Juiciest detail: The asking price was over $4.5 million a year in rent. Well, they do say that lipstick sales rise during a recession.
