UPPER WEST SIDE—New development 808 Columbus Avenue (at 100th Street), which will someday host the UWS's first Whole Foods, looks slated to get a whole raft of other retail. Names posted on the side of the building include the inevitable Chase, Bank of America, and Duane Reade, plus Crumbs, Borders, Modell's, and the first Manhattan outpost of the arts-and-crafts store Michael's. SOHO—This Thursday, December 11, from 6pm to 11pm, Soho will be hosting its annual Holiday Stroll. $20 gets you access to discounts, freebies, and refreshments from a ridiculously large number of Soho stores (here's the complete list.) The perks vary—seriously, Bloomingdale's? A free umbrella?—but all proceeds go to help the homeless. And everyone can use another umbrella. [Racked Inbox]
