Although the Bergdorf Goodman holiday windows are over-opulent and ginormous, the displays of the Bergdorf Men's store across Fifth Avenue are much smaller and therefore less able to go overboard. For this festive season, they've chosen to continue the 1920's feeling of the glamorous main BG windows but through vintage sports tableaus and animal mannequins.
Amongst the displays which very closely resemble the Paul Smith windows of fall, two polar bears box as as a walrus and fox egg them on, a penguin bowls and a goat goes golfing, naturally. The scenes are terrifically well done and the Thom Browne suit and velvet smoking jacket look crafted especially for a rousing game of billiards between two sly wolves. We attempted more images, but the crush of tourists on Fifth Avenue this close to Christmas became overwhelming; be careful out there.
