Grand Street in Williamsburg just keeps getting...grander. Coming to join the likes of A.P.C. and Paul Smith is fancy design store Abode, which sets up shop at 179 Grand Street at Bedford Avenue this Saturday, December 6. Abode sells both modern and vintage furniture and lighting, all of it designed in socially responsible ways. Representative item: A set of little Tibetan rugs to use as stair runners. They're cute, but more importantly, they say something about the store's expected clientele: People who have stairs.
