MEATPACKING DISTRICT—The bad news: Earnest Sewn's Recession-Proof pop-up store, which was supposed to open today at 821 Washington Street, is running behind schedule. The good news: It should be ready tomorrow at 11. According to a Racked correspondent, Earnest Sewn workers are at this very minute frantically finishing the shop while downing massive quantities of coffee, like Santa's elves in well-cut denim. Our spy also mentions that the store has a ton of men's dress shirts, and that not all the merch looks like it will really cost less than $50, as originally promised. Let's hope she's wrong. LOWER EAST SIDE—Sex shop Babeland needs a Santa to work at their holiday-themed events. A sexy Santa. The sexiest, in fact. As such, they're calling for nominations. Enter your favorite man into their "Sexiest Santa" contest by sending a photo and a 100-word essay on the theme of his sexiness to sexysantabrooklyn@babeland.com by this Friday, December 5th. They'll announce the winners on Saturday and give the nominating party $100 in store credit plus VIP status at their upcoming holiday event. [Racked Inbox]

THE VILLAGE—AudioCubes.com is the rare online tech shop that's made the jump to brick-and-mortar, opening a shop called AC Gears at 68 E. 8th Street at Broadway. It's been a year since they went 3D, and to celebrate they're throwing a party at this Friday, December 5th, from 6pm to 9pm. Goodies include free drinks and a raffle with headphones and watches as prizes. [Racked Inbox]
