Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Things that will be missing from this February's Fashion Week: Excess, glitz, joy, Betsey Johnson, and now, possibly, fashion bloggers. IMG has been rejecting press applications from online writers, causing panic among those who worried they'd been shut out due to the recession. An IMG spokesperson, however, told the blog Style IT that they weren't trying to restrict access—a bug in the system had inadvertently denied a number of press passes.

Also possibly missing from the tents this spring: PETA. DKNY, the animal rights group's foe from previous seasons, just announced that they'll do an off-site show. This is really becoming a trend.
