If you're lucky enough to still have a company holiday part to attend, and are doubly lucky to be able to dole out $275 for heels and $450 for a clutch, then the Jimmy Choo sale on today until 7pm in Chelsea may be for you and you alone.
On the fourteenth floor of a building next to FIT, you'll find Sex and the City fans giving themselves backaches as they prod through piles of pumps and haul bags like it's their job. In fact, we happened to check out the sale during the lunch rush when most women were purchasing in a panicked hurry to get back to their real jobs. It seems the bags are the real movers here; grabbing them is far easier than wading through the shoes only to then have to fight for one of the six seats for trying them on.
There may be no lines on the ground level, but exiting the elevator leaves you in a frustrated wait to enter the small space. Add to this the lack of a bag and coat check, and the place is a veritable mess of anxious shoppers made all the more testy by the high prices. There is one deal, however; buy four pairs of shoes and they are $200 each, leaving you to drop $800 on yourself a week before Christmas. Good luck with that.
