Modista is a new web shop that's organized visually. Click on a picture of shoe you like, and it presents you with images of similar styles. If you want, you can also use search terms, but you don't have to type anything, so it's perfect for those online shopping excursions where you know vaguely what you want but can't quite articulate it in terms a computer could understand. Two caveats: The search engine doesn't exactly suss out your taste, so try not to take it personally when it suggests options that offend your aesthetic sensibilities. Also, it's frighteningly easy to start chasing down your ideal pair of shoes, lose track of time, and discover that half an hour has passed.
