What today's Wang sale is to women, is what the Rag & Bone sale at the brand's MePa showroom is to men. What's more is that the Rag & Bone sale is on the 6th floor of the same building as the 4th floor Lutz & Patmos sale, so why not kill two birds with one stone on your lunch break?
While prices aren't bargain basement, much of the 50% off items available are straight from the Rag & Bone Fall 2008 runway. This means jackets and dress shirts of military inspiration and a complete look like that of a Tyrolean professor. The $140 cardigans and abundant $90 denim are the best bets, although we were distracted by some $195 striped cashmere pieces. Sadly, the bags are all gone, the $45 belts are only one style, and the $40 T-shirts are mainly plain white or cream.
The story is the same over on the women's racks. Everything is top-notch and runway, from the the $100-$195 blue and black trompe l'oeil tops and dresses (down from $400) to the special $100 blazers and jackets. Altogether, there are about eight racks of women's clothing, which is half as much as they have available for men. Step around the models who are there to shop with their boyfriends, and you'll have all the sizes higher than 2 to yourself.
