Racked Giveaway Extravaganza: His and Hers Spa Days

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

In times like these, who doesn't like to get stuff for free? Lucky for you, the Racked Giveaway Extravaganza is underway. Until we run out of merch, while supplies last, for a limited time only, etc. etc., check this space every day for new chances to win. We're cleaning out the sample closet, hitting up our favorite designers for gratis goods and will be sending it all your way. EVERYTHING MUST GO. 'Tis the season, friends.

Today's prize comes from Giftybox, a service that lets you give open-ended "experience" gifts. You pick a theme (adventure, education, well-being) and your giftee picks from a list of options (whitewater rafting, cooking classes, a day at a spa.) Because the economy sucks and it's almost Christmas and everyone's frazzled, we went straight for the spa option. And because Giftybox offers spa packages for men and for women, we're giving away two prizes this time—one to a guy, one to a girl.

Your challenge: Photoshop everyone's favorite fashion celebrity, Karl Lagerfeld, into some sort of everyday situation. We're always seeing pictures of Karl hanging out with Posh Spice, or giving awards to Britney, or frowning on the front of a t-shirt. But we want to know what he looks like when he eats breakfast/takes a bath/rakes leaves. The winners of the best male and best female categories (it's like the Oscars!) will each get a day at a spa. Please email us your submissions by 6pm Thursday; we'll announce the winners Friday AM.

*To win, participants must live in New York City, and be willing to travel to our office to pick up their prize.

If spa treatments aren't your thing, keep checking back for more giveaways. Or hop on the freebee train at Eater, where they're handing out all sorts of goodies.
