If you haven't yet picked up a copy of Diane von Furstenberg's Wonder Woman-inspired comic book, The Adventures of Diva, Viva and Fifa, then simply stroll by the windows of Diane's store and headquarters on Washington Street in the Meatpacking. The corner display features three complete looks from her superhero-themed holiday collection, complete with jet black cropped wigs and looking like empowered flappers.
Although the window features a gigantic blow-up of one of her famous portraits done by friend Andy Warhol, what is conspicuously missing are the cheaper goods DvF has produced to promote the comic book; are they sold out of the $25 books, $46 t-shirts and $165 graphic totes? We doubt it, but maybe giving more exposure to those cheaper items could help sales during these tough, pre-Christmas times. Just wondering, DvF.
