Sweaters and polos reign supreme at the Fred Perry sale in far West Chelsea this week. The building, 547 W 27th Street, has several numbered entrances, so take note—the entrance with the elevator to the 3rd floor is the door closest to Tenth Avenue. The FP crew has utilized their large loft space well. The men's racks and women's are clearly separated and represent an even split of merchandise. The vast selection features styles from the Fall 07 and Spring 08 collections.

The prices, however, leave something to be desired. While discounts are advertised as 50% off, sweaters still range from $50 to $100. Men's polos and tees are a better bet, at around $50 and less. Pants, shorts, and other bottoms are noticeably under-represented, but the emphasis of the sale is clearly on sweaters and track jackets.

From the looks of the space, they have stacks of stock to last the week. In a number of styles across the board, however, there are usually only one or two sizes on display. Tiny women—talking XS here—and the more svelte men—S and M—will get the most out of this sale.
