Acording to blog Consumerist, which broke the story yesterday, Circuit City is planning to close 155 stores nationwide. The site has a copy of an internal letter from CC exec Steve Saunders that states that the company hasn't decided whether they'll offer severance pay to laid-off employees. As of the posting, the closures were still a rumor, but AP and other outlets have confirmed the news this morning. [Consumerist; AP]
