This has been quite the season for Ralph Lauren on Bleecker Street. First he opened his children's boutique in the space vacated by moving the women's store across the street to bigger digs (and the former L'Uomo). Then he went and bought up eight pedicabs for tartanizing and pure exposure. Now, with his mini-mall complete, Ralph can do what he loves best: bring in the horses.
We aren't talking just any horses, but big, sparkling black colts that glare out at the street while their caretaker mannequins assume unaffected poses in multicolor polo garb. Because if there is a perfect time to play polo, it's in the middle of the winter.
