Retail lion Linda Dresner is closing her store at 484 Park Avenue and 58th Street after almost twenty years in the business. "Dresner was known for her minimalist boutique that influenced store design for the end of the 20th Century, as well as a sharp eye for unknown desigers who would go on to become major players like John Galliano, Comme des Garçons and most notably, Jil Sander," explains Shophound. She "represented a more modern, updated version of that salon style of retailing." Dresner has another branch in her hometown in Michigan; that one will stay open. [The Shophound]
