LeSportsac's sporty, lightweight bags and totes may fold up to practically nothing, but the brand still needed more room than their sliver of a Soho store at 176 Spring Street allowed. So, they've decided to move. In two days, there will be a brand new, two-level LeSportsac store opening in Soho at 118 Greene Street. The boutique, designed by Kenneth Park Architects, will be the largest NYC store and LeSportsac's flagship. Details on the interior, from the press release:
The street level flooring is white washed oak with the LeSportsac tab logos reinterpreted into plaster relief that lines the entire double-level wall. The original staircase has been completely rebuilt and shifted to offer optimum spatial flow. In keeping with LeSportsac’s commitment to eco-friendly materials, it is encased in black faux-leather and leads to a lower level retail space also floored in black faux-leather. A hanging display of bags and accessories will adorn one wall while another will display a newly developed laser cut solid-surface “wall of light” at the entrance. The new LeSportsac flagship will be stocked with all the brand's collections, including the Artists in Residence, men's, classic and Stella McCartney lines. A bag for everyone!
