Salon Eve moved out of its Bleecker Street space in late September, and now the place is getting completely gutted. And neighbor Biography Bookshop may be next: The lease is up soon on their prime corner frontage. Racked has heard whispers that the owners of 400 Bleecker are constructing something new in Chelsea, and have offered Biography space in the new building. The rumor is that Kate Spade will be preppifying one, or both, storefronts.
In other Bleecker news, Marc Jacobs has moved the snowy trees out of his store windows, and has replaced them with palm trees and mannequins in swimwear. Wishful thinking in this weather.
