[The Gap x Colette pop up]
We had such high hopes for the Gap's (RED) pop-up shop after hearing that Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry had signed on to design it, and that the store would "mimic a giant jigsaw puzzle." But then today, Nylon reported that the (RED) store would be opening in that claustrophobic little space off the retailer's Fifth Avenue flagship that's previously hosted Colette and Pierre Hardy collaborations. Tell us how Gehry is going to turn that little closet into a gigantic jigsaw puzzle, won't you? Is that collaboration even going to happen now? The store is opening Friday, and will contain "products from Apple, Converse, Dell, Gap, Emporio Armani, Hallmark and Starbucks, with a portion of all proceeds going to the charity."
