LONG ISLAND CITY—We can say without much doubt that Olivia Kuo is our favorite painter of dog portraits. This Wednesday, Ethereal Boutique launches an exhibit of her work with a cocktail party in-store at 47-38 Vernon Boulevard, 1L. The party lasts from 5:30pm to 9pm, but the paintings will stick around until December 1. [Racked Inbox]
WILLIAMSBURG—Providenza opened at 48 N. 6th Street this past October. A month later, before the store could even publicize its phone number, it seems to be closed, at least according to an unverified note in our comments section. The reader writes: "Does anyone know what's going on with Archangela / Providenza? A lot of merchandise within the store was consigned from independent designers. The store closed it's doors and has refused to returned unsold merchandise or pay vendors their share of sales. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any information." Our tipwire is also open. [Racked Comments]
