DII sells clothing, bedding, snacks, housewares, and make-up at reduced prices—the two "d"s stand for "deals" and "discounts." The chain has a bunch of shops in places like Astoria, Bayonne, Ozone Park, and Brighton Beach, but they've officially gone yuppie-friendly: The newest outpost is slated for 5th Avenue and 9th Street in Park Slope. Sign of the times? Brownstoner, which calls the space "a prime piece of real estate," thinks so.
