Storecasting: 7 for All Mankind to Bleecker Street

New, 2 comments

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Last time we checked on the empty Bleecker Street storefront where Miguelina used to be, it had been hit by the West Village's own mad sign-poster, who was going around the neighborhood hanging inexplicable notes of rage aimed at Amy Sedaris. When we stopped by this weekend, the sign was gone, but a new and perhaps even stranger development had taken place: There was a 7 for all Mankind awning protecting the windows from the rain. We're sure this is welcome news to those West Villagers who don't walk to walk all the way over to West Broadway in Soho, where the denim brand opened an outpost in August. The Sedaris sign, by the way? No longer there.
