Now that the Ralph Lauren Women store has shuffled across the street to larger digs in the old L'Uomo space, what will become of it's small nook next to the Marc Jacobs' Men's store? In a classic case of "anything you can do, I can do better," Ralph will attempt to rival Marc's dominance of the area by introducing a Ralph Lauren Children's Boutique.
Currently undergoing a quick renovation to a less dainty, feminine interior, the kids shop is due to open later this month. It will be the second Children's store in New York for Ralph, whose first you can find amongst more RL stores on Madison Avenue. With this addition to the West Village, Ralph's Bleecker and Madison clusters look similar except for one little thing: Madison Ave boasts a Ralph Lauren Baby. Let us all hope against hope that Bleecker stays free of that for now.
