With her new Greenpoint boutique Old Hollywood, Catbird buyer Tiffany Porter is appealing to those with retro taste. She's selling vintage pieces, reworked vintage and vintage-inspired items by under-the-radar designers like La Crasia, Jezebel, Inherited Leather and Tilly Doro. The boutique's packed with all sorts of accessories as well: old masks (perfect for those who don't want to invest in an entire costume come Halloween), costume jewelry, handbags and heels. The selection is appealing, as is Porter's laid-back ethos (she blogs: "The idea behind the store is really really simple. I wanted to create a space where people felt welcome and comfortable. Like they were visiting an old friend.") For more on Old Hollywood, click over to Brooklyn Based or read our previous post on the boutique.
