Paper magazine's Word Up! blog has a soothing slideshow of images from Petit Bateau's renovated store on 82nd and Madison. The French cotton purveyor, which specializes in kid's clothes but also runs a nice line of soft t-shirts and tanks for adults, confused some customers when they announced they would open a "home concept store." Turns out the new space doesn't sell housewares; it's just decorated with adorable homey items like the bathtub that now sits in one corner.
