Earlier this month, Madonna caused a mini-controversy by wearing Chanel's gun heels on the red carpet. Protesters in England argued that the shoes, which have heels shaped like pistols, were encouraging violence. While we can't imagine a single proto-hooligan being converted to criminal behavior based on Madonna's choice of footwear, we do think they're awfully expensive for a gimmick. Luckily, Target has our back. Check out their "costume heels," which have brass knuckles instead of stilettos. Chanel rip-off? Come to think of it, a stiletto is another word for a knife, so the heel-as-weapon idea goes way back. [Daily Mail; Target]
